Dental Implants

Dental implants are titanium screws that are used to replace an entire missing tooth, inserted into the jawbone, and used to attach crowns or a bridge once the surrounding tissue heals.  Designed to look and function in a similar way to natural teeth, implants are an excellent solution, being strong, biocompatible with living bone and muscle tissue, and most importantly, able to fuse with bone, creating a solid stable structure to cope with the pressures of eating and chewing.

The implant procedure is conducted under a local anaesthetic, requiring only a minor opening in the gum-line.   Many of our patients report little to no discomfort, due to our gentle use of this procedure.

After implant placement, your prosthetic tooth replacement is constructed over several appointments.  Your healing is carefully monitored, and you will have a temporary tooth in place.  Once the implant treatment is complete, you can relax, with a new tooth that’s stable, secure and reliable.
