Oral Surgery (removal of impacted teeth)

Though we all prefer to retain our natural teeth, occasionally due to extensive decay, bone infection, an irreparable fracture or impacted wisdom teeth, extraction may be the best solution.

Removing a tooth is done only after every alternative option has been explored and a thorough examination conducted by your Penshurst Dental dentist.  Depending on the tooth, its location in your mouth, your current oral and general health there are several different procedures and anaesthetic options.

Following removal of your tooth or teeth, we will provide full post-operative care instructions.  And please remember, no matter what procedure you have, due to the effects of the anaesthetic you will need a friend or family member to drive you home to rest for at least a day.
